Check out the awesome goodies in the Carven summer 2012 collection and get ready to give a super-flirty and girly touch to your warm-weather wardrobe!

With former Givenchy designer Guillaume Henry as creative director, Carven seems to blossom more than ever entering into a new age with a super-stylish ready-to-wear collection and uber-covetable accessories. For summer 2012, the young designer brings an optimistic and youthful line featuring schoolgirl skirts, oh-so-lovely florals, lederhosen, prim collars, cute shorts, flirty silhouettes, embroideries, leather and buckles, bells on sandals and cute pink loafers. The color palette includes cobalt blue, red, mustard and pink, but also black and white.

"I don’t see these girls being top models," Guillaume Henry said. "They are super beautiful but I want the models to seem like a girl you would see in the street – that’s why we tried to recreate the street for the show. It’s like you’re in a cafe and you see these girls walking by."

"For spring we wanted the Carven girl to be still the girl that you know, this kind of fresh, chic Parisian girl, but we wanted her to travel with no passport, with no idea of frontiers. We wanted her to get influenced by many things around," Henry told Net-a-Porter. "I like girls to be whatever they want. They can be, like, the six-year ever or they can be the most shy," he added.

So, this season, it's time to have fun and try super-girly and achingly adorable pieces such as the ones spotted in Carven's latest collection. "The Carven girl will always be in between childhood and adulthood, with plenty of references to uniforms. For this collection, there are dress codes from, say, tiny villages in the mountains, it's a collage between a uniform we already know, and patches of color, like a girl lost in a carnival in Hungary," Henry explained.

Speaking about finding inspiration for the brand, Henry admitted in an interview with V Magazine that, "I’m really into movies for inspiration. The reason for this could be that I prefer my collections to be like a story. I always ask myself who is this girl, where is she living and what does she do? I have the same for menswear. However, most of the time I am inspired by really simple things. This can go from people I work with or basically people I meet in the street. The best place could be a cafe terrace, watching people pass by. I’m always looking at people, it’s the best way to get inspired."
